FAQ

What is your metal wall decor made from? Every piece is plasma-cut from 14 gauge American steel

How is the finish applied? Each piece is carefully prepared and powder coated in-house. The coating is electrostatically applied and heat-cured to to create a durable, uniform finish designed to resist chipping, scratching, fading, and everyday wear.

How long does shipping take? Every piece is made to order and typically ships within 5–7 business days of purchase. Tracking information will be provided once your order leaves our facility.

How does the mounting system work? Every order includes our floating stainless steel standoff mounting system, with 4, 6, or 8 mounting points depending on size. Hardware for both drywall and stud mounting is included, along with a full-size die-cut mounting template to make positioning and marking your wall simple and precise. Complete installation instructions are included with every order.

How heavy are the pieces? Weight varies by size and design because each artwork removes a different amount of steel during the cutting process. Approximate maximum weights before decorative cutouts are 5.5 lb for 23" × 11", 23.5 lb for 47" × 23", 48 lb for 47" × 47", 39 lb for 60" × 30", and 54 lb for 71" × 35". Finished pieces will weigh less depending on the design.

Where are you located? Monarch Studio Co. operates in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Every piece is made from American steel, cut and finished in-house, and packed in our South Carolina facility.

What is your return policy?

Returns & Order Changes

Every Monarch piece is made to order specifically for your selected design, size, and finish. Because production is tailored to each individual order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for changes of mind once production has begun.

Our Product Guarantee

We stand behind the craftsmanship of every Monarch piece.

If your artwork arrives damaged, is produced incorrectly, or develops a covered manufacturing or finish defect under normal indoor use, contact us and we will review the issue and work with you toward an appropriate resolution.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement parts, refinishing, replacement of the artwork, or another reasonable solution.

What We Cover

Coverage includes:

  • Powder coating that peels, flakes, bubbles, or separates from the steel under normal indoor conditions
  • Significant coating failure that is not the result of impact, scratching, chemicals, excessive moisture, or improper care
  • Manufacturing defects affecting the structure or integrity of the artwork
  • An incorrect design, size, or finish resulting from an error on our part.
  • Missing or defective mounting hardware upon delivery
  • Documented shipping damage reported within the required timeframe

Minor variations in texture, sheen, or appearance that do not affect the integrity of the coating may occur as part of the finishing process and are not necessarily considered defects.

What We Do Not Cover

Our coverage does not extend to damage caused after delivery that is unrelated to the manufacturing or finishing process.

This includes:

  • Scratches, dents, chips, bends, or other physical damage caused after delivery
  • Damage caused by improper installation or mounting
  • Damage caused by dropping, impact, misuse, alteration, or modification of the artwork
  • Damage caused by abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, scouring pads, or improper cleaning methods
  • Corrosion or finish deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to moisture or environments the artwork was not designed for
  • Damage caused by improper storage
  • Minor cosmetic changes that develop gradually through ordinary aging and do not represent a failure of the coating or workmanship
  • Buyer’s remorse or a change in preference after the order-change period
  • Incorrect design, size, or finish selections made by the customer at checkout

Damaged in Transit

Every Monarch order is carefully packed using protective materials and packaging selected for the size of the artwork. In the unlikely event that your piece arrives damaged, please inspect and document the shipment as soon as possible.

If Your Order Arrives Damaged

  1. Photograph the packaging and artwork immediately. Take clear photos of the outside of the package, any visible damage to the packaging, and the affected areas of the artwork.
  2. Keep all packaging materials. Please do not discard the box, foam, protective materials, or freight packaging until the claim has been resolved.
  3. For freight deliveries, note visible damage at delivery. If damage is visible while the carrier is present, note it on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves whenever possible.
  4. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Email info@monarch-studio-co.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the packaging and artwork.

Once we receive the documentation, we will review the situation and determine the appropriate resolution.

Incorrect Orders

If you receive an item that does not match the design, size, or finish shown on your confirmed order, contact us and we will resolve the issue.

Please include your order number and photographs of the item received. If the error occurred on our end, we will work with you to correct it.

Made-to-Order Returns

Because each Monarch piece is produced specifically for the customer who ordered it, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind
  • Preference for another finish after receiving the piece
  • Ordering the wrong size
  • Ordering the wrong design
  • A change in decorating plans
  • Other forms of buyer’s remorse

We strongly encourage reviewing the selected design, size, finish, shipping address, and order details before completing your purchase.
